Hi everyone!! it seems like forever since ive written in here =) right now im at FontaineBleau hotel at miami beach. the view is awesome from the 14th floor! i recorded some video in the day/night from the balcony, so ill post that up as soon as i get back home. ill put more info about the hotel once i let you know how this past month has been.. if you dont wana read the boring part just skip this following loong paragraph. haha

most of you could recall my 23rd birthday, & it wasnt anything fancy. i had a basketball theme, cake & kalbi, hehe.. just close friends, real simple compared to my toga party & pool shindig the past two years. so after my bday i really dont remember much! i was working at japonais, then quit about 3 weeks ago. i found out that G got a job offer here in miami, so i decided to quit since i have a lot of chicago friends coming in this summer. everything got wild with him clearing out his apartment, taking care of paper work for his new job in miami, new condo, everrything! as the time was getting closer for us driving to miami, i felt like any other girlfriend.. veery emotionaal =/ and i hate thinking about that terrible time when he drops me off to the airport, not seeing each other every day.. ugh. hes going to be in miami for a year, help michael mac [now the director of beverage @ fb] & make him look good, so when fb opens in vegas, they can have a chance to maaybe make G a higher position, when he moves back. and im quoting G on this!! he said "if all goes well in the next two years, maybe we can get married" =D aibsfaksfbnklaf haha.. we all know one year goes by quick enough, shoot! were already halfway through 2008! but anyway, this one year apart will make us both do something that will only make our relationship stronger & do what we need to do on our own time. i quit my job earlier than i thought, but i told myself that i would quit before school starts so i can finish my associates degree. by that time it should be spring, G will know his schedule at work & maybe i can stay here in miami until he moves back! sighh.. if only it was as easy as it is typing, right? blaaaah.

ill be blogging a lot more now that im jobless =P ill be cleaning my house & going to the gym with neil, yaay! im excited to do the things i havent had time for.. put use in all my scrapbooking junk too. yup.. so heres some info from the FontaineBleau directory i was looking at since ive been in this room for the past 2-3 days. most of this is just reference for me, but this is what blogs are for eh? har har

The FontaineBleau-- Yesterday, Today, and Tomorrow
The year was 1954. Safeway Air Travel advertised $35 flights to New York. Beauty salons charged $7.50 for permanents. Gasoline was 29 cents a gallon. And the Fontainebleau first opened its doors in Miami Beach. Overnight it became the premier resort on the east coast.
From its 230 yards of beautiful oceanfront, elevated swimming pool overlooking the beach, 250 cabanas, hydraulically controlled dance floor and an exciting array of dining and entertainment venues, the Fontainebleau created excitement throughout the country. The resort sits on the site of the former Harvey Firestone mansion, which President Warren G. Harding, Thomas Edison, Henry Ford and other luminaries visited as guests. In fact, the Fontainebleau was built atop the remains of the landmark 1920's mansion-- evidence from the outset that this would be no ordinary hotel.
Through the years, the Fontainebleau reigned as the top resort hotel in one of the nation's most popular and famous resort destinations. The Fontainebleau was Miami Beach. Presidents stayed while in South Florida, "Goldfinger", "The BodyGuard", "Tony Roma" and "Bellboy" were filmed here and top entertainers visited often, including Elvis Presley, Bob Hope, Lucille Ball, Jackie Gleason, Judy Garland, Milton Berle, Jerry Lewis, Debbie Reynolds and Sammy Davis Jr.
Today the Fontainebleau Resort, a luxurious modern 37-tower operates on the southern end of the resort property. Additional suite accommodations will be available with the completion of the Fontainebleau Ocean Club in 2007.
In early 2006, the original 51-year-old landmark Fontainebleau Resort closed its doors and is now undergoing a $400 million renovation and expansion project. the renovations will restore much of the vision of its original architect, Morris Lapidus, bringing back such features as the marble floors and columns and the grand staircase, while creating one of Miami's most stimulating and sizzling interior design treatments. But the highlight of the new Fontainebleau will be its dining and entertainment venues which will surpass any other oceanfront resort in the country. And, as it did in 1954, the Fontainebleau as "the crown jewel of Miami Beach", will be the place to see and, be seen.
